My Story

TURI HETHERINGTON, WELLNESS THERAPIST, C-IREST®, E-RYT500, LPF-CT

I have been living and working in the Gallatin Valley for over 30 years. The early years were in snow sports, restaurants, marketing and graphic design, and non-profit management. Then, in 2011, I was called to my first RYT200 teacher training. Fascinated by the correlation between the ancient teachings of yoga and those of modern-day psychology and neuroscience, I went on to pursue further trainings and certifications in yoga, mantra, meditation, fitness and nutrition (full list below).

My passion for the practices led me to start a yoga and trail running retreat business, work and study with Nancy Ruby at YogaMotion Academy, teach at local yoga studios and the Ridge Athletic Club as well as the Bozeman Public Library, Concussion Resource Center (CRC), Gallatin County Detention Center, LoveYourBrain Foundation (LYB), YogaMotion Academy Teacher Trainings, and several veteran organizations.

Currently, I teach Intro to Yoga Meditation classes at Montana State University and work alongside an amazing group of practitioners at Health in Motion Physical Therapy + Wellness where my emphasis is on supporting clients with whole-person wellness and developing strength from the inside out.

In addition, I continue to facilitate programs with CRC and LYB and lead the Midweek Mindfulness meditation and labyrinth walks for the Bozeman Public Library

All of the above is nourished by the magnificent mountain environment in which I live. Originally called the Valley of Flowers, it still holds much magic and delight. My favorite place on earth is being on a trail at sunrise. I often snap a pic with my iphone to capture the essence and share it with others as a way of spreading the light and joy. You can find images, prints and greeting cards at GoodMorning406.

With deep gratitude to my many teachers, my training and certifications include:
